Ralf Borchert builds what works — and fixes what doesn’t.
My Story
I was born in Germany. I was raised in Hong Kong. I learned early that in hospitality, nothing happens unless someone makes it happen.
I trained at the Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten in Hamburg. I worked openings for Westin. I led procurement for Mandarin Oriental — introducing joint purchasing and operational systems across the group.
I’ve fixed supply chains. I’ve built procurement academies at The Peninsula Hotels. I’ve led recovery programs for airlines and operational turnarounds for business units.
I moved into executive search because I knew hiring was the real leverage point. No system works without the right people.
I founded Hospitality Haus after the 2008 crisis — working with hotel groups ready to do the work properly.
But consulting only goes so far. So I built Holedo.
Today, I lead Holedo full-time — building the infrastructure hospitality needs to hire better, faster, and without friction.
I maintain oversight of Hospitality House — but my work is Holedo.
That’s where I belong now.
