My Story
I was born in Germany but raised in Hong Kong, where I attended the German Swiss International School. My passion for hospitality emerged early, leading me to intern at luxury hotels during school breaks. After completing my education, including an apprenticeship at the Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten in Hamburg, I embarked on a career in the industry.
I transitioned to Westin International Hotels, gaining valuable experience in hotel openings and operations. This journey eventually led me back to Hong Kong, where I joined a startup hotel company before being recruited by Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group (MOHG) to lead their procurement efforts.
At MOHG, I spearheaded strategic initiatives such as joint purchasing and e-procurement systems.
Following this, I supported Air New Zealand's recovery program in Auckland, contributing to cost-saving measures across various departments.
Returning to Hong Kong, I took on a leadership role at Hongkong & Shanghai (HSH) hotels, where I established the Procurement Academy and implemented innovative cost-saving strategies. Later, I transitioned to HVS Executive Search, specializing in talent acquisition for global hospitality firms.
Amidst the challenges of the 2008 Financial Crisis, I ventured into independent consulting and collaborated with Landmark Education on leadership development. Today, I lead Hospitality Haus, a team of dedicated consultants committed to supporting organisations in the hospitality sector.
